The Novatel Wireless MiFi Liberate, which also goes by the name AT&T Mobile Hotspot MiFi Liberate, is a mobile cellular router that will not just free you and up to 10 Wi-Fi devices of yours. Step 2: Creating a Wi-Fi Profile in the Novatel Wireless application
- Using a USB cable, connect your MiFi to a computer.
- In a browser on your computer, go to http://mifi.mlp or http://192.168.1.1 (don't add 'www' in the address).
- Click Login.
- In the top right corner, enter the default password: admin (unless you've changed the password)
TIP: If you can't remember your password, see Resetting your Novatel Wireless MiFi 2372 to the default password. - Click Login. You'll see the MiFi Home page.
- Choose WiFi > Profiles.
- From the Profile list, choose Secure.
- Click Edit WiFi Profile.
- Choose or enter the following settings:
Item/field Setting Network Name Enter the network name (SSID) from the inside of the battery cover. 802.11 Mode 802.11 + 802.11b Channel Auto Security WPA Personal/PSK Network Key Enter the network key (WiFi key) from the inside of the battery cover.
NOTE: If you change your network key, your wireless connection will be disabled and you'll have to reconnect with the new network key you just entered. - Click Apply.
- Click Return to Profile List.
- Click Apply on the WiFi Profiles - Set Profile page.
- Go to Step 3: Connecting a Wi-Fi capable device to your MiFi.
