About Sound Card Drivers: Usually, Windows operating systems apply a generic audio driver that allows computers to recognize the sound card component and make use of its basic functions. When enabled by proper files, the characteristics of the sound card (like model, manufacturer, number of channels) are completely available to computers,. Once you have enabled your PreSonus interface to be the sound output device for your computer, all of your computer's audio (warning sounds, iTunes, etc) will play through the outputs of your PreSonus interface. To hear these sounds, you must connect a pair of monitors or headphones to your PreSonus audio interface. This is a USB-C audio card, but it also comes with a converter cable to USB-B, so you can easily connect it with your old computer. It has really superb-sounding audio-to-digital converters. It operates at up to 192 Hz sample rate, 24-bit recording, but I assume you will normally stick with the good old 44.1 Hz sample rate. | I want to build a computer for DAW using Studio One 2.5 Producer on a PC system. What would be the best soundcard to use to run this program and to eventually upgrade to Professional? Any recommendations? | Subject:Sound cards best for Studio One 2.5 | perceval Presonic Joined: 30/11/2012 19:37:03 Messages: 283 Offline

So, just peruse through the site and find the one withe the options you need. As usual, Google is your best pal...

| Knowing what you have planned for the recording would be very helpful. We would hate to recommend a StudioLive 24 when you only want to record yourself playing along with a guitar. The full specs of your computer and version of Studio One you are using placed in your signature line (like mine below) would make future assistance easier as well. Let us know what you've got planned and we can definitely provide suggestions. Understand that we will lean toward Presonus interfaces for obvious reasons and also the fact that there are templates already in Studio One for them. | http://support.presonus.com Tallest guy in the Mod Squad with all his hair still on his head.
